HDM have been actively recruiting new staff in 2013, 7 in total so far this year. We have 2 new members in the outworking team taking that department up to 5.
Outworking
Phil Frain has come from a background in conveyors and mechanical engineering.
Alan Hulley has come from an engineering background in the textiles industry.
In addition to our new Works Manager, Andy Womersley, who joined us in February, we have also taken on another 4 new employees.
Shop Floor
Hughie O’Gorman
Hughie joins us from a background in both textiles and waste related industries. His skills range from welding to hydraulics, site management and customer services. HDM welcomes Hughie on board and hope he uses the platform to share and pass on his talent with as many of our staff as possible.
Ben Wright
Ben joins us as an electrical engineer apprentice. Ben will learn a number of disciplines within the company which will enable him to thrive in the future. His education and qualifications will be gained at Hopwood Hall College whilst on the job training will take place daily. Ben takes our apprentice tally up to 3 and highlights HDM’s commitment to apprentice development.
Matthew Dell and Aaron Davies are currently in their second year apprenticeships and are progressing well in their abilities to perform in an engineering environment.
Nathan McGourlay
Nathan started on a temporary basis on placement from Northern Employment Services and is now employed full time. His hard work has shown he has what it takes to progress further with HDM.

Stephanie Salloway
Stephanie also joins us full time after initially starting on placement from Northern Employment Services. Stephanie has shown that she has the ability to progress in her current role and become more involved in all aspects of office matters.
