HDM Engineering’s expansion plans generate local job opportunities in the North West
Local engineering firm HDM Engineering Services Ltd is preparing to move into new premises as part of an expansion programme. The new development is the foundation of the company’s 2013 growth strategy and is already generating new jobs within the company.
HDM Engineering, which specialises in the manufacturing & servicing of baling machines and conveyor equipment, will relocate its manufacturing base from Shawclough Trading Estate to its new, 15,000sq ft premises at Hollows Chapel, Shawclough Road, Rochdale. The premises are just a short distance from their current location and will effectively allow the company to meet their increasing customer demand requirements. The move, on the back of a number of new contracts in the past two years, is expected to be complete in March.
Discussing the new premises, HDM’s Managing Director Andrew Dell said:
“It’s a huge step forwards for us. The new workshop will give us the space and facilities we need to keep growing and servicing the industry.”
The company’s expansion plan has provided the opportunity for new staff within the local community, increasing the current staff number up to fourteen. HDM have employed two young engineering apprentices, Aaron Davies and Matthew Dell, who will play a pivotal role in the growth strategy; leaving plenty of room in the Company’s new premises to accommodate additional growth.
Mr Dell added:
“In three months we’ll be in our new premises which will be fully kitted out with state of the art machinery and we’re looking forward to maintaining our momentum. We’re a proud North West company and that means it’s particularly gratifying to commit to a new property and new jobs here”.
HDM Engineering is planning to complete the move by March and look forward to the growth opportunities that will arise through the new facilities and additional staffing. The company are eager to utilise the new facilities in generating new contracts and providing further job opportunities within the local community. The newly created positions will create jobs in Management providing essential skills for employees.
